Control is a biopic film about Ian Curtis (1956-1980), lead singer of the legendary post-punk rock band Joy Division. The screenplay is based on the book Touching From a Distance, by Curtis’ wife, Deborah, who is also a co-producer of the film.

The movie is extremely good. The right actors (Sam Riley was the perfect cast for the role of Ian Curtis), the right songs at the right time (except “love will tear us apart”, which is used at a rather obvious moment), every shot even looks like a corbijn picture. go see this.
