Seriously the best stuff I’ve seen in a long time. Thank you Charlotte!

He is also known as Jack The Ripper, as he rips a lot of his work! I like his stuff, but it’s easy to see where he gets his inspiration… HE magazine is almost exactly the same as Warum Magazine, as well as Cover magazine is the same af Self Service cover info page in the beginning at the mag…
Yada, yada, yada.
buhuhuhu….
I’d stick to saying that he’s very good at achieving something that is very NOW, and that he knows what his (primarily fashion-oriented) clients want. I know him personally, and worked with him on issue 4 of HE Magazine (www.he-magazine.com for more), where the only resemblance with Varoom magazine - is that he went for the blocky, freeware font in the same style that Non-format worships for the majority of their projects. :)
Furthermore, it’s in a way natural that the work he did for COVER looks like something from SelfService Magazine - considering he used to work at Work In Progress (editors/designers of SelfService) back in the days - and also worked on the design of that magazine. And also, if editors/clients have a clear idea of what style they’re after, referencing SelfService, it’s even more natural…
Still, I can agree that he has a serious infatuation for Avantgarde and Helvetica Neue set very tightly in terms of tracking… :D

Isn’t that a modified Baby Teeth? Rather than just some freeware font.
It’s called “Disco Deck”, and with just some modified G’s and so on…

cool… he’s very nice at designing identity and art direction, I just think it reminds a bit to much of the other ones…
Jens, I agree with you on that, for sure. He isn’t the one that you would see doing a strict design system for anything very corporate either - but in terms of the fashionista design world- he’s the man. :)
